Our Values

  • We Value Relationship Over Information

The Word (Jesus) became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish. John 1:14 (MSG)

  • We Value Creativity Over Tradition

First this: God created the Heavens and Earth-all you see, all you don't see. Genesis 1:1(MSG)

  • We Value Fixing Broken Things Over Building New Things

I heard a voice thunder from the Throne: “Look! Look! God has moved into the neighborhood, making his home with men and women! They’re his people, he’s their God. He’ll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good—tears gone, crying gone, pain gone—all the first order of things gone.” The Enthroned continued, “Look! I’m making everything new. Write it all down—each word dependable and accurate.” Revelations 21:5 (MSG)

  • We Value the Passionate Volunteer Over the Paid Professional

During this time, as the disciples were increasing in numbers by leaps and bounds, hard feelings developed among the Greek-speaking believers—“Hellenists”—toward the Hebrew-speaking believers because their widows were being discriminated against in the daily food lines. So the Twelve called a meeting of the disciples. They said, “It wouldn’t be right for us to abandon our responsibilities for preaching and teaching the Word of God to help with the care of the poor. So, friends, choose seven men from among you whom everyone trusts, men full of the Holy Spirit and good sense, and we’ll assign them this task. Meanwhile, we’ll stick to our assigned tasks of prayer and speaking God’s Word.” Act 6:1-4 (MSG)

  • We Value God's Heart for the City Over Man's Plans for the City

When the city came into view, He wept over it. Luke 19:41 (MSG)

Our Beliefs

About the Scriptures

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

About God

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.

About Humanity

We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

About Salvation

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

About the Christian Life

We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.

About the Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.

Here are some

What Can I Expect?

  • What’s the culture like at Forward Point?

Sunday's at Forward Point are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our VIP guest.

  • What do I wear?

Wear what you would to hang out with a bunch of your best friends. If they can dig it then so can we. If they would tease you for it then we will probably too, but only because we love you just the way you are! Please, be comfortable.

  • How long is the Sunday gathering?

We should have you out by 11:15. We love to have fun so it should feel that way the whole time. We start with some kind of fun element and then move to an update on what's going on. One of our pastors will start a relevant conversation and then we move into a response time with a band playing some music to sing along to with the words projected onto a big theatre screen. Feel free to sing along and/or engage however you feel most comfortable. Some people sit, others stand, there are no rules so you do you.

  • Do I have to give money?

No. You are our invited guest. While we do take some time to go through how to give, that is for those who came prepared to do so. We DO NOT expect you to give.

  • Is there parking?

There is on street parking around the Theatre as well as a parking lot in the rear.

  • The Cafe

Come early and stay late. In addition to our free coffee and snacks, The Cracked Bean Cafe is right next store and serves additional coffee and home made snack and food options to give you the Caffeine and Calories you need to make it through the day. You will also get a chance to relax and meet some people you haven't yet or catch up with people you've known forever.

  • What about my kids?

We believe that kids should have a blast when learning about Jesus every single week - and at Forward Point, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your child's safety. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our Forward Point KidMin program the first time you come and everyone working with kids has gone through a thorough background check. You'll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in for the Forward Point KidMin experience.
